Community Involvement

For 60 years, The Prescription Center has been an active member of the community supporting non-profits and associations within New Hampshire. We are proud of our community involvement. ThePrescription Center made the company's first charitable contribution in 1969, and currently provides philanthropic support.

In addition, the employees of The Prescription Center donate hundreds of hours annually. We also provide direct corporate giving, and in-kind support.

We believe that community involvement is an integral part of creating a positive and happy workplace. That's why The Prescription Center is committed to its local community and surrounding towns where their employees live and work. We emphasize the value of giving back, and involve employees in making decisions about charitable contributions.

The Presciption Center has supported these organizations:

  • Great American Smoke Out
  • The Prescription Center teams up with the American Cancer Society to promote a healthier lifestyle through support, education, and discounted anti-smoking products in honor of the Great American Smokeout. The event takes place annually in Concord, NH and provides information about strategies to curb your habit, the benefits of a healthier lifestyle, and steps you can take now that will help you for years to come. Since 1976, the Great American Smokeout has inspired and encouraged Americans to quit smoking. Tobacco use, however, remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the United States. The American Cancer Society is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by saving lives, diminishing suffering and preventing cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.

  • Friends of Forgotten Children
  • The Prescription Center partners with the Penacook School Kara-te to support the Friends of Forgotten Children Program. With a simple food donation, a free Women’s Self-Defense class is offered to Prescription Center employees free of charge. These food contributions will are donated to the Friends of Forgotten Children Program to assist in their continued efforts to serve underprivileged families in New Hampshire. Friends of Forgotten Children is a 501 (c) (3) public charity located at 224 Bog Road. They happily accept small and large donations of food and non-food items, clean and serviceable clothing for all ages, and new toys as well as monetary contributions.
